Volunteers are not expected to be computer experts.  Volunteers are available to provide assistance within their area of expertise.  This may be assisting those who are having a problem accessing the internet to pick up their e-mail; helping someone who is experiencing a problem with a computer program; or offering information on computer related topics which you have knowledge.
The benefits of being a volunteer is meeting other FMCA members; a preferred parking space; an appreciation dinner sponsored by FMCA; being recognized as a volunteer at the evening entertainment.  Additionally, the volunteers for the Help Desk most often increase their knowledge about computers.
If you want to be a volunteer at one of the FMCA Conventions just send an e-mail to the Bits & Bytes Chapter President.  We need your help.  Come join us.  You will enjoy it.
